Carol Bärtges teaches English, Speech and Drama in the Upper School. She is a graduate of the school, as are her two children, Max ’03 and Sarah ’05. Carol received her B.A in Literature and Theatre from Williams College; she holds an M.A in English from NYU as well as an M Phil in Comparative Literature. For many years Carol served on the Leadership Council of AWSNA as the representative of the Mid-Atlantic region and continues to be active in Waldorf teacher training programs and mentoring. She is the author of various articles in Renewal Magazine on Waldorf education, and the co-editor of the publication, Educating as an Art.
