Rallou Hamshaw

Fine Arts Teacher

Rallou M. Hamshaw ’65 teaches painting and drawing in the Upper School. She is a member of the College of Teachers and has been a member on the Board of Trustees of Rudolf Steiner School . Rallou served as Speaker for the College for six consecutive years earlier in her career at the school. Rallou is an independent visual artist represented by a gallery in Chelsea, NYC, where she has had numerous solo exhibitions. She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and The Brooklyn Museum School of Art where she held a Max Beckmann Memorial Scholarship in Painting. After completing art school, Rallou was employed by Doubleday Publishers where she served as an Associate Art Director for twelve years before launching her teaching commitment at the school, first as part-time teacher, and then as a full-time member of the faculty. Rallou is also a graduate of the Rudolf Steiner School, grades one through twelve.
