The Rudolf Steiner School offers two after-school programs available for children in grades K through 8. Maintaining our belief in the importance of continuing the healthy rhythm of the school day into the late afternoon, our programs offer a variety of options for you to choose for your child.
EXTENDED DAY (Grades 1 – 8)
Our Extended Day program provides an exciting and engaging after school environment. It offers such classes as: Mandarin, Music Theater, Taekwondo, Cooking, Chess, and other seasonal courses such as Aviators (fall/spring), Woodwork (winter), and Fencing (spring).
AFTERCARE (Grades K – 4)
The rhythm of the school day continues through the afternoon as children experience snack, outdoor play, and other special activities and adventures. Activities range from planned trips to museums and nature walks in Central Park to arts and crafts activities such as painting, clay, drawing, and various other arts.
