The Rudolf Steiner School offers three seasons of team sports in our After School Athletics Program. Please click on Athletics for a full description of these activities.
The Rudolf Steiner School has a long and distinguished tradition of student publications. Students can join The Key, the high school’s literary magazine which publishes students’ poetry, prose, photography and artwork. The production of Fifteen East, the school newspaper, lets students practice their journalistic skills and work on Spectrum, the school yearbook, allows those interested in photography and graphic design to gain expertise in these fields.
Spectrum: School Yearbook
This is an after-school class offered for 1/3 credits for each of the trimesters. Some students elect to participate without the class credit, especially when they are involved in other after school activities such as drama club or sports teams. The group includes a senior editor and an artistic director and a sports editor. Students learn to take photos digitally and to set up the pages after they have worked together to determine the aesthetic look and chronological content of the year book.
Drama Club: 9th to 12th Classes
The Drama Club is open to all students. Students prepare two productions each year, ranging from one-act plays and musicals to full-length dramatic productions drawn from all periods of history. This club also stimulates and fosters individual initiative. Some students write and produce their own plays, and others enter the Shakespeare competition.
