The High School seeks to admit students who will thrive in the environment of the school. Consideration is given to a student’s ability to handle the rigors of a college preparatory program. Prospective students must also be enthusiastic about immersing themselves in the artistic requirements of the high school curriculum.

When to Apply
The application deadline for the 2017-2018 school year has passed. Please contact the admissions team with questions about openings in a specific grade.

*Students applying to Grades 9-12 must take either the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).  Contact Sam Margles, Director of Admissions for Grades 7-12, with questions about standardized testing.

Note to International Families
We accept applications from prospective international students that are proficient in English and do not require housing. International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

School Interviews, Tours, and Visits
Tours and interviews can be scheduled on Interviews for applications submitted after the December 1 deadline are dependent on availability and must be scheduled directly with the Director of Admissions for Grades 7-12. Following the interview, prospective students may be invited to spend all or part of a day visiting the grade to which they are applying.

Notification and Reply Dates
As a member of ISAAGNY, we notify families of admissions decisions in accordance with the scheduled guidelines, which can be viewed here. Once you have accepted an offer, notify all schools to which you have applied; this courtesy is helpful to families on a waiting list.
